10 Words to a Better Life Series
What is your understanding of God? Does the biblical narrative of a powerful and loving God, as revealed through His Son, Jesus Christ, still hold meaning and relevance in 2024? In a world marked by division and anxiety, do we still need eternal truths to anchor us in these uncertain times? The Ten Words to a Better Life Series will provide a comprehensive portrait of God, perhaps one you have not encountered before, and one that is desperately needed in these turbulent times.
Starting on November 8 and continuing through November 16, the Ten Words to a Better Life Series will run for nine consecutive evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Wilmington Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 4394 S State Route 73 in Wilmington, Ohio. This series will explore the nature of God as depicted throughout the entire Bible, from Genesis through Revelation.
This series will be presented by Fred Shoemaker, Ph.D., M.Div., a former college history instructor at the Ohio State University and the current pastor of the Hillsboro, Middletown, and Wilmington Seventh-day Adventist churches. Over the past twenty-five years, Dr. Shoemaker has delivered numerous series on topics such as Bible prophecy, religious liberty, the Gospel of Mark, and the complex relationship between religion, American culture, and politics.
